Car Stutters (Need Help)

Hey, im new to this board but have been reading this board for awhile and just decided to register. I have a 1991 Eagle Talon Tsi. My problem is at the beginning of each gear when i hit the throttle the car stutters anywhere from 1-5 seconds then the boost kicks in its kinda weird. feels like the whole car is shaking front to back or back to front. Anyone know what could be my problem and how to fix it? Btw this is my first car as i just turned 16 and i LOVE IT.

Have you done a tuneup on the car(plugs, wires, pcv, fuel filter)? Check your vacuum hoses to make sure everything is connected.

Do you have any idle problems?

I havent done any checkups yet as the car is at my dads shop and with school i have been quite busy. Ill do a tunneup as soon as possible. Also yes i have some idle problems if i leave it idling for 10 seconds or more it sometimes shuts off.

A tune up is in need. Do that first. Then see what happens.

Do the whole tuneup and Timing Belt stuff if it is time for it.

Would u mind making a list for me of everything that would need to be replaced and how much it would cost aproximitley in american or canadian dollars (preferably canadian but it dosent matter).
