Car stutters and dies

Whats up guys. Okay so after my car heats up it starts to stutter really bad while cruzing, but I can power through it with WOT. and when I put in the clutch it dies on me if I don't keep the RPMs up. I already changed the coils and plugs. i'm lost, please help! Thanks

No it is not. but it has been fine previously. mods are in my profile.

Well not for sure for dsmlink users but when I got my car it wasn't recirc and the guy thought the motor was trash. It had the same symptoms, fixed it and ran fine.

Okay guys, I cleaned my MAF and car is still stuttering and idols bad. sometimes evens stalls out at idol? My BOV is still venting to the atmosphere but I never had a problem with that before. All this started after a rebuild I did about 3 months ago, and about 450 miles into the break in. the only thing I can think of right now is that I still have my old spark plug wires from the previous engine. they have roughly 2 to 3 thousand miles on them? What do you guys think? thank you!

Put your hand over your bov and see if it runs better. The new motor has or should have more vaccum then your old one and could be pulling unmetered air in through your bov since you don't have it recirculated.

To answer your question yes. I went to napa and told them I needed a hose to fit for it since they didn't have the right one in stock. I ended up with a tiny radiator hose for like 6 bucks and that fixed it. But once again I'm not sure with dsmlink

maybe just recirculate it ...

What BOV do you have? i have the HKS so I was just wondering how you got it connected to you BOV? I cant find a recirc kit anywhere?

I just have a 3000gt one on it. I haven't been able to afford parts yet since I am a broke college student. i don't know how you can recirc it if you don't have a fitting

My car is having the exact same problem I changed my diverter valve into a BOV simply by pulling out the hose that recirculates the air back into the intake, I got great sound out of it but anytime I would hit boost and release the gas pedal and went into neutral or disengaged the clutch the car would idol really low and die until i put it back into gear or open up the throttle a bit. I do believe that the stock engine tune is not meant to have a BOV simply because it is reliant on the recirculating air to keep the combustion going hence the diverter valve. Going to be putting the hose back on tomorrow I will let you guys know if the car idols fine afterwards. And Yes I did plug up the dump pipe but it still made no difference so i am going to put the other hose back on tomorrow.

No, the bov is not meant to be vented to the atmosphere. It causes the a/f ratio to be off from what the computer thinks it is. Venting would cause those symptoms.

I'm having similar issues that I'm pushing through right now. Pull your spark plugs, and see if they need cleaning/replacement. My problem at the moment, is that my fuel pressure regulator isn't opening up, so I'm injecting way too rich. (me thinks)

how does it act on idle?
