420A Billet Oil Pump Gears

Hey Guys,

I'm a bit of an old school tuner for these cars, built a 1995 eclipse in the early 2000s with a buddy that's now passed away. Had the 420A engine in it, and went standalone with it. It was a lot of fun, a lot of good memories, had a soft spot for the engine and the car every since. Fast forward to today, I made an oil pump company and always wanted to do something for the 420a. I made some billet oil pump gears to fit the OEM housings to protect against them shattering, which we personally experienced on our build, but I can't find vendors that specifically cater to the 420a. I'd like to find someone who could retail them for me.

Have any pictures of your product? What grade material is used? I'd love to see what you've come up with.

I've never really heard of the oil pump gears being a weak spot on the 420a. Unless we're talking trashy Chinese units. But with that being said, I'm always supportive of new products being produced for this engine that are a true upgrade. Especially in a world where all aftermarket parts are becoming a rarity.

It probably won't be easy finding help selling or producing these, but providing photos and more information is a good start. Most people just get a high volume pump and call it done.

If you could make some for the 6 bolt 4g63, you might sell a bunch on here as a vendor and even the 420a version could be sold on this site if you set yourself up as a vendor.

I've not heard of the 4G63 oil pump gears breaking. The 6G72's seem to have a problem with the georotor pump.

We manufacture all in-house in Dallas, but we usually partner with tuners specific to particular engines or cars to help sell the product. I just haven't found many that specialize with the 420a yet.

I've not heard of the 4G63 oil pump gears breaking. The 6G72's seem to have a problem with the georotor pump.

The 4g63 doesn't break, but they just wear out and are not available anymore, especially the straight cut pump gears.

Yes the 4G63 has a different issue with housing wear which also damages the rotors. I am working on that one.
