Salem,
I know I have to change my timing when I put my turbo kit on. I have the kit, but no cam gears and no money for cam gears yet. Would it be safe to slap my turbo on without cam gears for the time being. Would this put my motor in jepardy of blowing up.
-Please dont answer unless you know first hand

i think you have cam timing (when valves open\close) confused with ignition timing (when spark plug fires). Cam timing on stock cams is fine with turbo. stock ignition timing is also fine with boost up to a certain point. Cam timing is adjust by cam gears, ignition timing is adjusted by retard boxes sold by crane or msd.
