Biggest noob question: STARTER

Just finished my build up and dropped it in. The starter had not been wired when i took it out. I searched and i couldnt find which wire belongs where. The picture shows how i have it hooked up now, is this correct? Also i know this is kind of combining two threads but, where do you guys mount your fpr on the firewall, there is no spot for me to mount it without drilling and tapping new holes.

Power,ground, and the little clip.It's simple.

There is no place to mount the afpr on the firewall,because the car did not come with an afpr.

Drill and tap.Or get a bracket that mounts to something.

I know Power and ground but which on the starter is ground? I think it is right the way it is in the picture

On my car the black and yellow one highlighted here goes to the firewall.

That is wrong. The wire that Bud highlighted should not go to the starter. It should go from the battery to the engine as a ground.

and you should be able to mount your fpr where your old fpr solenoid rack was mounted without having tomdrill new holes.

So then the one he highlighted needs to be grounded on the block. The other wire is fine? Do i just leave the other one blank?

The other one isn't blank, it's going to the starter motor. And yes, move the highlighted one to the block.

If you try to start the car like this it will catch the wires on fire and burn your hand. Trust me i did it two days ago. I should have become a member on here before i tryed to wire it up haha

The power wire on mine is where you have the ground. I have the ground on my tranny.

Yes, the highlighted wire is a ground. It should lead from your battery ground to the tranny some place (starter bolt). And the starter power wire to where you have the highlighted wire. The terminal the power is hoooked onto is a blank.
