I am looking to spend some of my moldy army money and put some time and money into my 2G project.
Currently I am replacing a brake line and installing new rotors, pads, and SS lines. I am going to be upgrading to a Big 16G turbo and I would like to see what my options are for setups. I know I need a 16G, FMIC, I was thinking DSMLink, and new injectors (unsure of size). Probably need a Air/Fuel gauge too. Am I missing anything? What is a good FMIC to run and same with injectors? Do I need DSMLink, or can I flash my black box ecu?

There are plenty of write ups on the forum.

I ordered a lot of bolts and gaskets. Get a checklist of all the hardware and gaskets so you don't have ship piecemeal.

A 2g install kit- J pipe and oil line. You can reuse water lines and drain with minor mods.

Boost gauge. Wide Band. Dsm link and injectors with fuel pump. If HPfuel pump like wal 255 then you will need AFPR.

You can run the side mount inter cooler for a minute if your cash is tied up in the supporting mods.

I am doing my 16g upgrade as we speak. I have about $2000 into it. You can do it for cheaper. I opted for FP manifold and some other things.

Good luck. Search 16g upgrade in your google or on the forums. It will really help to make a check list.

As for tuning. Black box flash or link, that's up to you. If you are going to do the time yourself you will have to decide which system you want to learn and invest in. A personal choice.

Everyone gets the proper upgrade path bassawkwards and tries to upgrade the turbo first, can't say it enough times.

With those mod's you've got listed though...
  1. Maintenance.
  2. Wideband (AFR) Gauge. ** don't get that narrowband crap, it tells you nothing **
  3. 30in/hg to 30psi boost gauge
  4. Tuning solution, i.e., ECMLink or flash your black box (your call like Priority DSM said)
  5. Injectors. 660cc if you only plan on running 91oct, 950cc or bigger if you plan on running E85.
  6. Fuel pump. Walbro 190 for 91 or Walbro 255 or bigger + adj. fuel pressure reg. if going to E85.
  7. Fuel pump re-wire.
  8. 16g & FMIC (install at the same time) VRSF and Punishment Racing make a good one that's easy on the wallet, ETS makes a great one...
Don't skip maintenance and get all your supporting mods done first, then go for the turbo and not vise-versa.

...of course with the above you can throw in the intake/exhaust upgrade wherever you'd like.

I just rebuilt the motor and I am finishing the brakes, so #1 is done
I have #3 and #6(I have the 190 installed and the 255 on standby)
I have a Injen intake with a K&N filter and a 3" turbo back exhaust.
I have all of the supporting mods...I will upgrade my profile soon.
What program do I use to tune/flash my black box?

Maintenance first! Can't believe I'm one of those folks shouting this out now.

Once you've done the required maintenance (seals/timing/etc) and you know your engine is 100%, then you can start throwing on upgrades without worry.

The worst thing is when you spend money on all these expensive go fast parts, only to realize your motor is pooched, and now you're ready to part out your car, because of it.

Maintenance first.

To tune with the blackbox ecu, you need ecuFlash for flashing, evoScan for logging, and an openport 2.0 cable from tactrix. There are some great videos on getting started with tuning an evo here:

Obviously, you don't have an evo ecu, but the process will be similar.
