hi, i have been buying parts for my 91 gsx over the last 3 months and i am about ready to install them, i have been fallowing the dsm list for a 400hp eclipse. I was wondering if anyone had any input on how accurate this list is in delivering it's set goals of 400hp and low 12s to high 11s.

thanks cory

i have went with the full t3/t4 4g63 400hp evo turbo kit by ssautochrome it has a t04e ar/.50 cold side and ar/.63 hot side. i am having trouble finding our psi level of turbo only info i can find is 55/min, and i am not sure what that equals in psi any info would be nice.

i have everything listed in my profile it would take a little while for me to put it down, also i have to go to work in a couple of minutes other wise i would

figured out a quick way to get my list here it is andytalon

Next time just pm me if you can, dont wanna get the mod's madd at ya heh, well here we go.
#1 Have you got the parts already, be honest! Because I can disagree with some off this.
-Well, you seem to be kinda on the right track, are you looking for a street car or race car? Looks like a race car to me heh.
-Do you have any experience with turbos/cars???
-Does your car run now, if so how good does it run?
-If your car doesn't run I would sugest you get it running and check your compression, do a boost leak test and all your matinance done before Anything!! If you have then great.
-Now 1000cc inj are big boy toys, and a t3/t4 turbo is a nice big turbo too. What are your goals?
-you are missing some things. Let me find out whats going on first, reply to this and we can go on with it then!

Heres what you need:
-In order to run a 255 pump you are going to need a AFPR(not saying to buy this but it works great for me!)
-Im almost 100% sure you will need a SS oil line to the oil filter housing for that turbo to keep the warrenty up.

Now where did you get that turbo from, link would help?

-You are going to need a Fmic, if you plan on running somthing like this. SlowBoyRacing has some good deals!

explain more of what you have to clear this up for me!

I would assume that you will have a full turbo back exhaust. You didn't list a cat-back section of the exhaust. You will need some way to control boost (unless the AEM EMS can do that, I'm clueless about that). You will need an intake of some sort, unless it is included in the "turbo kit." Cams are an easy way to increase your power once you have some supporting mods.

Cory,

I like that you used a list to begin your modding, however I need to caution you that going fast and running certain times is based more on how well the car is tuned for optimal boost, timing and air/fuel ratios. I've seen people with huge laundry lists of parts still running high 12's or low 13's so please keep that in mind as your install progresses. In the end, the tune and a proper combination of efficient parts properly sized to work together will be the difference between meeting your goals and meeting with frustration.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress,

Andy

i was short on time when i posted this had to go to work. Honestly yes i do have all of the parts that i listed. No i do not have much experience with turbos/cars. The car ran good before i started taking it apart.
My overall goal with my car is to get it to run as fast as possible in the 1/4 without using NOS
I do have a boost controler it is a high low controller, i do still need to get an intake and the catback. My turbo kit came with a large fmic, and all of the hoses, i got the kit from ss auto chrome on e-bay it is by xs-power.
I will keep updateing this posting as i continue.
Thanks for all the information and opinions i appreciate them and look forword to hearing more input from you all.

I would seriously reconsider, your turbo/manifold/intercooler setup OMG

These parts are very important, and considering you have an AEM EMS, i wouldnt skimp on these parts. :dsm:

I also am not too sure of your clutch you have. I would check on that to make sure it will work for your needs.

you should do reading on the threads in Turbo System Tech

In there you can find information on the best drag turbos.
I would look into a PROVEN intercooler that can take the amount of boost your planning to throw at it, and be able to cool it down.:p

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=195517&highlight=drag+turbos (this is a thread on one guys 11 sec DSM build , maybe you can use it for reference)

You should also consider a tranny that can take more of a beating.
http://www.shepracing.com/ (can help you build the tranny of your dreams)

A 4 bolt rear end for hard launches
good sticky tires for 60 ft times
Cams
Intake manifold

(You will have to do research on these parts as to what fits your budget and goals but thay would definetly be upgrads looking into)

You will probally have to look into getting your engine built up higher than stock levels to take serious power.

headgasket, headstuds, pistions, rods, ect....

good luck :rocks:
