Today I just went from a stock engine to greddy upper intercooler piping with an RS blow off and an APEXi Power intake and god damn can I feel and hear the difference! Although I have to vent my bov to the ATM for now because the recirc kit isn't in yet, I can still hear such a difference when my turbo spools with the intake. Do you guys know of any long term effects of venting to the ATM? And any suggestions on what to do next? (Already have exhaust system) Any suggestions are appreciated. :dsm:

Big upgrade? Far from it, slight, yes. I dont see a boost controller in your profile so that might help, along with a boost gauge. Then maybe your ready for a bigger turbo, fuel, fmic, and tuning.

Well yeah I guess for you guys that seems like the usual but I'm not all too used to this stuff yet so its a pretty big step up for me. Yeah I'd like to go with a boost controller in the future.

Gotta start somewhere. Dont go with a boost gauge and controller in the future, that should have been your first mods, get them installed as soon as you can .

yes, i remember the first time installing mods into my car, and feeling a power gain. :thumb: not incredible gains; but like they said slight noticeable ones.

i can't think of any long term effects, but you can experience idle problems, stalling problems, and you will be running rich. :notgood: venting is only good if done properly

if you have an exhaust system already(full turbo-back) i would suggest fuel mods. injectors, pump, rewire kit, and afpr; and some way of tuning it. logger and afc; or dsmlink.

If I get a boost controller and turn up my psi while i'm still venting to the ATM will my car suffer more? And what gagues do you guys suggest I get, Air/Fuel, Boost, and ????.

i would definetly recommend boost. since your getting your boost controller get an egt gauge being that you will start to increase the boost :D , and want to see how hot things are getting. if you do plan on getting a third gauge to put on the pillar forget about the air/fuel one because those are useless. get an oil pressure gauge.

1. boost
2. egt
3. oil pressure

Why is everyone telling him to turn his boost up? Why not recommend a fuel pump and exhaust before turning the boost up. No point in turning the boost up if you don't have at least a fuel pump, And with a stock exhaust, It's a waste.

i recommended the boost controller so he can be able to control the boost since he has an exhaust already. he said it at the end of his post he already has an exhaust system. but you right he should get a fuel pump, and while he's at it definetly rewire it.
