Big 16g or clutch?

If you still have the stock clutch, then you need to replace it. Just maxing out the 14b will kill your stock clutch in hurry.

Save your money up, buy the new clutch, snag a lightweight flywheel, and then get the turbo you want. Once you get everything in, plan like a day or two where you don't need you car, and replace it all. Win win situation. Like SnowBorder said, make sure you have the appropiate fuel mods before turning the 16g boost up. If not, the engine won't be happy. :)

Definitely clutch first.

I found out the hard way with my TSi FWD over 5 years ago....I bought the 16G first and 2 weeks later my worn-out stock clutch started to slip. I chose the ACT2100 Street Disc for my FWD.

According to your profile, you'll need some fuel mods to be able to get the most out of a 16g. So I vote for the clutch as well. You can also go all out and get a lightened flywheel and SS clutch line.

I have a 255 fuel pump layin around, I just need to purchase a FPR. Then when I get injectors I'll have to get a palm and logger. Thankfully I'm a 1g'r, cables are cheap.

You should max out your current turbo before moving on to a bigger one. You don't even have the supporting mods yet anyways. Get the fuel control to turn your 14b up to 20psi and you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner. I run my talon at 20psi on a 14b, and i turned it down to 14 once to try it and it felt so slow I had to turn it right back up because I couldn't stand driving a dog like that.

Get injectors and eprom tuning, then go for a turbo. Your clutch will be shot way before any of this, so yes get that first.

Will a act 2600 pp and southbend kevlar disc hold up the power for a maxed out 14psi? Then still have some meat for the future turbo upgrade?
