They are basically in the same league.
Though I prefer the EVOIII

since you are 2g, there is a few things youll have to do to install the evoIII, But the t28 is direct.

Here is a write up on installing 16g style turbos in 2nd gen cars.

Here is a Link to purchase a Pre assembled 2g install kit for this turbocharger.

Basically, I would say the evoIII is a better turbo charger.
it gets good reviews, everyone seems to like it. I think the t28 is a 2g 16g basically. Though I dont have flow numbers to verify this.

The T28 is a direct bolt-on; while the 16g will require a 2g install kit, but not that hard to install.

T28 will spool SLIGHTY faster and were talking about a hundread or two rpms faster, but the 16g will have a stronger powerband. The 16g has been proven to outperform the t28, I will go with the 16g :thumb:

Stay boostin

Hi. There is a lot of info on this already. Just use the search button. Anyway, I would go with the evoiii 16g since it has a little more potential and is much cheaper. As far as installation goes, all you need is a ss braided oil feed line (about $40) and a 1g j-pipe ($10-20). You can reem out the holes on the oil return to make it fit properly. The water line will work without modification.
