Hamburg,
which turbo is better. Reasons why one is better than the other and which would be a better choice for a 2g awd. I plan to do stage one and some of stage 2. Just trying to get a better idea of what turbo to keep an eye out for. Thanks in advance and sorry if this is in the wrong section.

The big 28 killer has an odd compressor wheel, although some people may have had success with it. I recommend a FP or AGP big28.

Well the killer is a big16g compressor wheel in a custom garret housing, it's a little scary to me and doesn't make much more power than a big28 that uses the stock housings.

Thanks for everyones input and opinions. So ill def go with the FP Big28 or the AGP. Which out of those two is better? Or are they the same? And what makes you think i will be unsatisfied with either of them? Thanks in advanced

Thanks, I'll definetly keep that it mind. If nothing else it's also a hell of a lot cheaper than the FP3052.

By "direct bolt up" that means i dont need a new manifold for the SBR 2g20g right? And the SRB 2G20G is superior to the Big28? Thanks again

I wouldn't consider an FP3052 until you have every support mod and then some. Comparing the Big28 to the 3052 is watermellons to cherries..
It all depends on your future goals. If you are a power hungry freak like most of us, you will quickly outgrow the Big28. The 2G20G will need quite a few support mods to get the most of it as well. But it will most certainly keep you happy longer. ;)

what additional supporting mods would be required for the SBR 2g20g? And i want to run mid to high 12s. Would the FP Big28 be adequete enough or would something better be needed? Thanks again. great info keep it coming

Any of the Mitsu hybrid turbos and the like bolt right to your stock manifold. You only need to consider a new manifold with a full Garrett T3/T4, but thats a whole new ballgame we wont go into just yet.

What do you plan on putting this turbo on? What current mods do you have if any?

Ok im buying my car with my money. As soon as i find it, im looking for a 2g awd prefferably a talon. But when i buy the car my grandfather is giving me cash to mod it, a loan anyways. So im gonna do basically all of stage one and whatever i need for the new turbo. I know i know, you're thinking spoiled brat, but its not my fault he has money LOL. But i will be doing all the work on my own, my father and his best friends are going to help me, his friend owns a local garage and has every tool imaginable. So im just trying to get a parts list going. So i have no mods yet or a car but im just learning whawt i need to know.

many 2g's with 16g turbos and big28's are in the 12's... it just takes the standard stufff needed to run 20+psi... The Big28 will get you into the 12's...

Although it's expensive... this looks to be a great turbo that's similar to a 20g, but basically the next step up from a Big28...
FP2544

I'm also thinking about a T-28 of some type... because i've heard that it has the same housing as a T-25, and since i have a warantee, i'd try to fool the mechanics with it(no offense)... but i'm not sure i could, i know that most mechanics around here... are very good at what they do...

I just finished putting on my FP Big28 today. I have the boost at 17psi with just an upgraded pump and its a HUGE improvement over the t-25. I also port matched the manifold and o2 housing. Spool up is nice and quick and boost is strong and solid til redline. I'll post some comparision pics I took once I get this roll of film developed. :thumb:

Although I'm a poor white guy my goal is to have the fastest dsm in the state. Considering that would the fp3052 be the better rought in the long route? Also....what if I installed it with just a boost controller to keep the boost low untill I have the necissary mods to crank up the the fuel rate?
