I am relocating my battery, I can't find anything to solid to answer this question. Really don't want to drill into the firewall unless I have to. Any way to make more room under the dash without removing it? Can I take out the air box or something while leaving the dash in? Just seems like I have no room and I wan't to do this the right way.

wrap it in some loom also to make sure you have it protected .
Yes, and remember the grommet, it's the difference between a car, and "I used to have a Dsm before it caught on fire".

Could either of you post a pic from inside and outside the bay and interrior where you went through? I love this car and refuse to drill in the wrong place once LOL. I have gromets and loom no fires here :)

I punched a hole in mine last week for N2O and water/meth. I will be working on it again today so I will try to take a picture. Mine was close to the wire loom but worked out perfect. It came out right beside a bracket spot welded to the firewall where the battery box is located.

I tried to cut into the grommet a bit that holds the harness in and tuck the wire through with no luck at all. Couldn't find the wire in my interior and now I'm dissapointed I cut into the grommet. Any advice for running it this way? Either way still really want firewall and interior pics cause I will probably end up drilling. Want this car going ASAP. That would be sweet 1990TSI.

Sent mine thru with the ecu bundle, worked out great.
