Battery Issues

Recently I have been having some battery issues with my car. I seem to need to jump it very often lately. Then finally a battery shiz the bed and I purchased another one, but for some reason it seems my battery is not holding a charge. Its odd, but I am almost certain. I jumped my car this morning ran it for around 1 hr and then I tried to start my car tonight and the battery was dead again. have any ideas?

go get your alternator tested at an autozone or o'reillys. Maybe your alternator is dead. Are you having any other electrical problems??

it could be dieing or dead as you said... No other real electric problems.

im having the same problem. I just like purchased a new batt (optima at that) and didnt drive my car for a few days then found it dead. This has happened a few times since the new batt was put it.

Check to be sure the alternator belt is tight. I know it sounds stupid but I couldn't hold a charge, got the battery tested, it was fine. Pulled the alternator, took it in, it was also fine. I reinstalled it, making sure the belt was tight, and everything was fine. Sometimes the hardest solution to find is the most obvious. Just a thought.
