Okay the other day my battery light turned on so I checked my battery And It wasleaking acid So I figured the alt. was bad and just over charging It so I took it to autozone and had them check it they said it was just fine but I went ahead and got a new one when I took it out of the box I saw a sticker on it that says "externally regulated this unit is regulated by the vehicles computer" So my question is does this mean my ecu is most likely what's wrong with my car not the alt?

I relocated my battery to the trunk and I have it in a battery box and as for where the acid is leaking from its coming out of the top and its trying to fill up the battery box as for pics I've already cleaned it out
