balance shaft phase bolt oil pressure tap!!!

Hey to all Dsm gurus

is it posible to tap the oil pressure sender in the back of the block balance shaft phase bolt oil pressure tap ????

The rear balance shaft bearing is not fed by the main oil galley. It's fed through the balance shaft.

The OFH is the easiest place to tap for oil pressure. You can always just use a T-fitting off an existing port.

so i have to connect myself to the oil housing right
there is no other whay ????

If you are connecting an aftermarket oil pressure sending unit for an oil pressure gauge, do NOT mount it directly to the filter housing. Remote mount it somewhere, as the vibrations from the engine WILL kill that sending unit within a few days (a week if you are lucky).

^Strange. With BS delete and poly mounts mine has been fine for over 6 months.

I didn't catch that one! .

OP- Are you reffering to the hole where you check the BS shaft when timing the engine? If so, that will never see oil pressure.
