Hey everyone đź‘‹ I bought my GSX in 2016 and its never been able to pass smog.

The last time I took the car to get it smogged, the mechanic said that the lights that are flashing are all over the place and they do not make any sense.

My question is, could I have a bad ECU? Could it have been tuned and mods were taking out but the tune was left on the ECU when I purchased the car? Would swapping this ECU with another one of the exact model and year take care of the problem? Also, I had a GST in 2013 and it was much quicker with no modifications on it.

My GSX feels way slower and I don't understand?

Any help would be much appreciated thank you :)

I read some of your other posts. Please be thorough in your description. Right now we don't have enough info to tell you if you have a bad ecu. You never answered hiw you got it ro run after you put a new head on it. You could still have timing off after all these years.
Try this

Dang, you're talking about a post from 8 years ago? Honestly right now I don't remember.
The car wasn't able to pass smog before the valves were bent.
It wouldn't pass smog from the get go, as soon as I purchased the car and once the tags were due .
But thank you for the help in advance:)
