I've been trying to get a 92 2.0 NT running right after a timing belt change. It initially ran fine, but had a water leak from a hose beneath the CAS. Anyway after a day or two, it quit idling. It'll start and if ou keep the rpms over 2000 then it's fine. I adjust the CAS fully clockwise (facing the CAS from the passenger side) and it idles badly at 750 rpm. It sounds like a dead miss. New plugs, wires and I checked the ISC, BISS and TPS all working fine. Is this just a bad CAS or is there something else I missed?

Thanks

did you check the timing belt? my friend just did a timing belt job and it ran fine and then all of a sudden it ran horribly. it jumped by a couple teeth. i'd probably check that first thing.

I've triple checked the timing belt. If I'd have known this was going to be such a pain (originally I was just replacing the clutch, but then everything else showed up) I'd have pulled the engine and tranny out.

I've checked the firing order. I got it to idle before by turning the CAS as far as possible clockwise. NOw I pulled the CAS out, Lined up the marks and reinstalled it. I also checked the voltage as I manually turned it. I could hear either the coilpack charging every 180 degrees, so now I don't think it is the CAS. However, with the key in the ignition and turned on, there is a lot of clicking coming from something near the firewall. At first I thought it was the ECU, but it is definately inside the enginge compartment. Maybe the ISC or something with all of the EGR vacuum lines. I have no idea right now.
