I found her! Just at the lowest point of depression, I came across a deal.

Let me know what you think.

1G -1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-

-140,000 Miles
-FULLY LOADED EVERYTHING
-White
-5 Speed
-Black Clean Rims
-From the picture it looks really good for a 93' Clean and healthy
-He says interior is mint
-Rich New type community guy who doesnt need a 93' around. LOL.
-He told me, Since its a 2 hour drive here I dont want to lie to you and screw you over. Heres whats wrong with it.

-He said, "I lost the title to it, but I went to the DMV and they said go online and fill out these forums then print them out take them here and we will print you out a new title. Well, "I couldnt get around to it, so when you come here Ill just give you the title papers.

-I have had this car for about 6 years (almost its whole life) and never once did it have a problem. Clean reliable car. But in the past 3 months or so when you go to start it, only once a month useually It sounds like the flywheel is spinning but not grabbing on so It doesnt start right away. Then After about 3-4 more cranks she fires up. But that only happens about once every 3 weeks or so. Everyother time its fine.

No more problems, Clean interior, Clean outside, 5 Speed, 140,000 miles.....

I said, great great, whats the LOWEST YOU WILL GO. He said, ehh Ill take 1150- 1,200 for it.

I casually said, Sounds good, I will call you back in the future. Thanks Bye. Then Jumped up and flipped out. LOL. Maybe Im just over reacting, good deal?

That's sketchy... trying to get a new title for the car can be difficult, especially if you're a new owner of the vehicle; think about how you're going to prove the car is yours. I would pass on this one and see what else is out there.

NO.

He says, He printed out all of the paperwork online at the DMV and it has all of the info, I just have to take it to the DMV and print out the title. I will not wait any longer. 1,200 Bucks for a 5 speed Eclipse 1G?

I still wouldn't take it unless I had the paper work in hand. Have him personally get the title; offer him another $100 for it or something.

If you try to get the title yourself, what happens if you find out that there's a problem and they won't print another title out for you, after you pay him?

Agreed. Now I am assuming this is a 1g N/T, and I must ask, and this is in now way detrimental to the OP, but I can't imagine spending $1200 on a NA 4g63. If I'm getting a 1g, then I would get a GS-Turbo, or a GSX, you know?

He's not gettin the car (parents didn't like the no title dealio) :p
