Back at it after months of neglect.

I finally got off my arse and did a little work on the Laser. I haven't been driving her lately due to the seat padding crumbling into nothing and me having a bad back. I searched around and didn't really find any solutions, (i.e. the free kind) so I went ahead and experimented a bit. I took both seats out and pulled the covers off of the seat backs. Once those were off I just worked my way around freeing the 20 year old glue and slipped the padding from the passenger side to the driver's side. (Quick side note: Screw using the old hog clips or getting new ones. You remember those handy-dandy zip ties we all have laying around in the garage? Perfect substitutes. Just remember to get both the bar in the foam and the bar on the seat cover inside the loop and you're golden.) Once I got them installed I sat down it was Ahhhhmazing! It's like a new car again. Now I can drive her around without feeling like I'm getting mugged at knife-point. So for of all you guys/gals with the half-flat OG seats in your 1gs, this may be something to look at if you're as strapped for play money as I am. Now to get this damned tune taken care of...
