Ottawa,
I recently put down 327awhp @21psi and pump gas and was wondering approximately how much I would put down had I dynoed in fwd mode.

I understand temp, rpm, and a whole lot of other factors come into play when calculating drivetrain loss but I am looking for a ballpark figure to go on.

Has anyone tried dynoing their car in awd mode then in fwd mode and compared the difference?

Maybe 5-10% more power?

Did you Dyno at KVR? if so very nice numbers :thumb:

Yes KVR. My torque numbers were a little low at 256awtq so I have a little more work to do before I'm satisfied.

So 327AWHP would be approximately 363whp (327/.90) on a 2wd dyno?

Sounds about right I guess.

You can add like another 15% since KVR's dyno reads really low compared to a "normal" dyno...

PS My numbers are from KVR's dyno, I think I met you the day I was there. I was one of the 3 talons from kingston.

A normal dyno being a Dynojet or just another more accurate Mustang Dyno?

So I would take my 327awhp and bump it by 20-25%? That would put me over 400whp. btw, my DSMLink 70-90 times are 2.0 sec. Looks like I may be in the 115-118mph traps range.

Yes, I remember you were there with Steve and Paul. Nice car and dyno numbers btw.

Its not that other dyno's are more accurate, it's just the way they work.

Dynojets work off enertia, basically letting the car spin the drums as fast as it can, a mustang puts a load on the rollers making them harder to turn which is more realistic.

Buschur Has the exact same dyno and he proved that it reads 22% lower then a Dynojet.

Also I think your traps estimate is pretty close, when Paul was trapping 119 he laid down just under 350awhp at KVR and when i was trapping 110 I put down 270.
