2G AWD fuel level sending unit

i was wondering if anyone could help me out with where i could find a fuel level sending unit for my 96 tsi awd. called autozone and o'reilly's and they both said you have to buy the whole pump and everything, which i already had a 255, so i dont want that, any help would be appreciated. if i cant find one i guess i will just go without a guage, haha

yeah partznet is the place, like $40 for the sub sending unit and $70esh for the main one, i emailed a few weeks ago about it, my mane one is on a frits

I went with out a fuel gauge for over 4 years on my 1g awd [after changing the fuel pump, it stopped working].

I just went by the check fuel light.

yeah, thanks for the help guys, but i think that i am going to just go ahead and go without a fuel gauge, just go by the light....i think that it is just one of the sending units that went bad, because when i fill it all the way up it goes to halfway, so the resistance must be half of what it should be so i figure half a tank is full and 1/4 is 1/2, etc. thanks though guys
