AWD flywheel in a FWD tranny

I read that it will work and it wont, i have a AWD 92 gsx 6 bolt flywheel and a fwd transmission, if its possible for it to work i will get it spun and resurfaced if not, find a fwd flywheel im assuming

An AWD Flywheel in a FWD (and visa versa) will NOT work.

The spacing of the teeth on each is slightly different.

Clutch, pressure plate, TOB...all that is the same however.

I dont think he ever said anything about putting a FWD tranny in an AWD or an AWD tranny in a FWD. Please read carefully.

The AWD flywheel has a smaller diameter than the FWD flywheel. Reason being is on an AWD the flywheel has to clear the output shaft going to the transfer case. It won't work, starter probably won't even engage the flywheel.

Thanks for clarifying that it wont work. This information was good to know before i start putting it all back together

ya good luck with it but ya definitly wont work so gotta pull it back apart sorry!!
