Recently purchased a 1997 Eagle Talon TSI AWD with a blown motor. Decided to take the time while the motor is being built to tear down the entire front end and engine compartment to repair some rust, repaint as much as I can and replace common parts. The issue I'm having right now is removing the ABS Speed Sensor in the front knuckles without breaking them. I've tried to find replacement parts at the local auto store without any luck.

Can I use a rear knuckle sensor and splice the wires? (Rockauto has them in stock) or can someone point me to a store that sells them?

Part#: Bosch 0 265 006 982

here are the part numbers for all 4 abs sensors. all the :laser:mopar:laser: and :dsm:mitsu:dsm: part websites sell them, just google the part number.

Definitely make sure you get the AWD ones listed LOL. I made the mistake of getting fwd ones and they were CLOSE, but just a tad short. For getting them out of the knuckles, I used pb blaster or kroil or whatever you think is the best penetrant and shoot from the front and then also front the inside sensor part and wait..... wait more, and be patient and then slowly wiggle them out. Mine were seized well and just took some time to get them free.

Weird my 97 GSX has ABS but the driver side rear knuckles has no provisions for a sensor....

Hmmm.. if I had to guess, maybe someone replaced that knuckle but did not use the abs one?

But I never had a ABS light come on in the dash.

I only found out when I was back there updating everything
