awd 2g: twin pump install. question regarding dual level sensors and fuel return

I'm installing a twin 255hp's in my 99 gsx and I had a question regarding the return setup. I've made a custom bracket on the passenger side hanger where the factory pump goes for the new pumps but had to eliminate the return in the process. My question is would I run into any issues using the siphon tube pickup on the drivers side as my return? My only issue with this obviously is that if fuel gets low to where it drops below the hump in the middle, it will be dumping the fuel into only the opposite side of the pumps, starving them of fuel. Has anyone done this? The other option I was thinkin was to run a hose inside the tank from where the siphon dumps into the tank, over to the side of the pumps and zip tie or clamp it to that hanger to keep it in place. I guess I'm just worried about the hose breaking down over time being in the tank?
