Avid Racing or Drop Engineering

I am thinking of replacing my mounts with one of these sets. If I get the drop engineering mounts I am getting black inserts for sure. The only thing that concerns me if that's the right way to say it is that the avids should be lighter being made from aluminum. Any one know how much the drop engineering mounts weigh?

In my opinion I would say Avid racing. I have them in my 2g and I love them. They used to have some fitment issues with them but its has been already fixed(I know cus I bought the revised version) Of course im just talking about the 2g mounts. Haven't heard much about the 1g version of the mounts.

Are the Drop engeneering mounts aluminum or steel?? from the pictures it looks like steel.

They are steel, mild or stainless I would only be interested in the stainless version. The light weight of the avid is appealing to me.
