I have searched but could not find an answer.
I have the Avid aliminum engine mounts for the 1g. I can not figure out how the front one mounts.
I have emailed Marti at SBR for the last 2 months to find out how this is bolted to the front crossmember, that goes from the front to the rear. He keeps telling me he's sorry he's been busy, he is going to check on it, he's gong to get with one of his guys, he's going to call me, he's gonig to yada, yada, yada.
So I figure I might get better results going to non-vendors who might care...the DSM community.
The Avid front mount has only one hole to vertically bolt the mount to the front crossmember (that goes straight toward the rear). It does have a bolt to the rear of the Avid mount, but that goes horizontally to the floor. I do not see where if anything it bolts to.
The stock mount has 2 holes for bolts that go vertically into the front crossmember.
Anybody know about what I'm talking about or how the Avid bolts to the crossmember?
Thank you,
Fred
