my A/f gauge is doing wierd things. If i give the car full gas it lights up one or 2 green lights at the end of the spectrum but when not giving full gas, (just cruising around) most if not all of the 20 led lights light up so its like a constantly on light show of every light on the gauge. I hope this makes sense to someone. I"m not really suffering form bad gas milage, 22 miles or so per gallon and like i said under full throttle it lights up just as it should but the rest of the time its not doing what its supose to do which is bounce the leds back and forth one or 2 lights at a time. could i have a bad O2 sensor or is it maybe in the power wiring? also if it is my O2 sensor, is there a way i can test it to make sure its working or not working and how hard is it to change out?

That is normal. I have an air/fuel gauge in my 2g that im selling. When it is pegged, the green leds at the top will light up indicating that you are running rich, which is what you want. While just driving around at normal cruising speed, it will bounce back and forth indicating that it is stoich or niether rich or lean. Personally, i have found that the air/fuel gauge will not help much, if you dont like the twinkling leds, get an egt, it wil take you much further than the a/f

i was afraid i wouldn't be able to discribe it and someone would misinterperate what i'm tring to discribe the a/f gauge is doing. what you discribed was a properly working a/f gauge, where the leds bounce back and forth, mine used to do that and then started going bad and has gotten worse and worse to the point now where instead of lights bouncing back and forth all the lights red, yellow, and green all come on at the same time. does taht make sense?

hmmm i see, my gauge has done that once when it was extremely cold out, im talking below zero temp til the car warmed up, but my guess is you probably just have a short somewhere or something isnt connected right. i blew my O2 sensor and the a/f gauge just reads lean all the time, even when you have 100% throtte, so im sure its not your sensor.

Check for an exhaust leak. Mine did the same thing and it ended up being a blown out downpipe gasket. Every light on my A/F gauge was lit up at once. I replaced the gasket and everything went back to normal. Hope this helps you out!
