When my Talon is cold it runs and drives fine, but when the transmission starts getting hot and your in gear the car will die, unless put into neutral, but when you put it back in drive it will die unless you give it gas in neutral and put into drive, but once it's rolling all the other gears run fine. Reverse also dies when warm. The torque converter doesn't disengage when warm.

Symtoms sound like the stator has spun on the sprag in the convertor.
When cooled, the stator inner dia hole is shinking & grabbing the sprag.
You reving it in neutral & pulling it into gear is going to kill it quicker.
With a spun stator, your idle & stall grabbing is bad like you say.
Can you hold the brake & stall the engine to 3.5k ?
If not, I'd say the convertor is the cause of your problem.
I install 3 pins in the joint for any big hp convertors that I prep.

But even pinned like this, you Don't rev it in neutral & pull it into gear.
Anyway, that is my guess to your problem.
Cheers !
