Automatic trans question...

I purchased a Eagle Talon Tsi auto FWD. And was wondering if anyone could reasonably tell me what kind of horsepower this transmission is capable of handling. The local DSM shop says its only capable to handling 300 hp. So as to adjust for this I will have to rethink the mod's I've been planning on this car. Any auto experts you help would be greatly appreciated.

Well we used an auto on 96 tsi fwd, but a Fp T28 turbo, and injen intake, and a front mount, and polyurethane mounts, and the tranny just went it handled it for about a year almost so not sure what kinda HP it was putting to the wheels but we could go around 25 stomp it and loose traction, Ya may want to look in to getting some performance upgrades for it later down the road, ot a 5spd swap..but i would say as long as your not getting on it 24/7 and using the horsepower it has all the time you should be good for a while, but just be careful....
