Automatic trans questions

I have some questions about my automatic in my 2g. It works fine for a while, then for no reason it'll kick you into 1st and won't shift. After letting the car sit for a while, it'll work fine. TCM? When it's working the car seems to shift just fine, just after it gets driven for half an hour. Then it'll work fine again later. Sounds electrical to me. No codes with the voltmeter trick.

yes, it is more than likely your TCU going out on you. Mine did the same thing, but I built me a manual shift box to drive with and never had a problem since. PM me and let me know if you are interested in getting one.

I'll back up Tim on the shift box, although I never got to buy one off him because my car went MIA, I would recommend him to anyone. Nice guy....

I have a friend that owns a tranny shop and he said to check the TPS calibration too. He's seen them do that too. What's the spec for WOT and idle?
