Hello. I have a 96 gst spyder that is currently automatic. I want to convert this to 5 speed. I know of some things that needs changed like gauge cluster, shifter, clutch pedal. Do i need to change my cars cpu and wiring harness?

Can any of the parts for instance clutch pedal brake pedal air shifter be used from a non turbo set up or does it all have to come from a turbo car? I don't mean like the computer obviously that's from a turbo car

You can use the shifter just use turbo shifter cables, turbo clutch master and slave cylinder. You can probably use the pedals. I know the pedals on a 95 turbo are a little different than a 98 non turbo but ill look here in a few and let you know if they will work.

Only difference is on the clutch pedal. The turbo version has the big return spring and an extra piece welded to the pedal arm and pedal bracket for the spring to attach to. The non turbo version just uses a basic spring like the brake pedal uses.

the 95s and probably 96s have a plastic gas pedal, its metal on later models
