thnx dustin ...

hey dude

thnx for the info but ### im really wondering about is will i have any problems instaling the linkage and shifter under and through with the engine still in and also if i was to buy a manual tranny will it come with the clutch and fly wheel and why brake peddle assembly is that because im switching the master cylinder?

thnx again dustin

You will have to drill/cut holes in the fire wall for the clutch master and pocibly inlarge the one for the shifter cable (not sure on that). You will have to remove the dash which is a pain in the A## I have done it about 5 times and it doesnt get any easier each time I have done it. It will be a chalenge Just pulling the pedal assembly is not fun. I have a one off my gsx (wich goes to the junk yard soon). I pulled out b/c my clutch pedal striped out it still need to be welded.

hey dude

If you are ever going to do any modding or drag racing, don't use a stock or stock-replacement clutch. Get an ACT or some other quality aftermarket performance clutch. For the flywheel, just get a Fidanza aluminum flywheel.

and why brake peddle assembly is that because im switching the master cylinder?

Because it doesn't work too well to drive with a manual transmission without a clutch pedal.

it is time consuming. You will need to make holes for the cables and master. Follow the link ilco187 posted. Helped me a lot when I converted my own.
You do not need to pull the dash, just the lower pieces on the driver side and most of the center console. I would hope you have a 90* drill too. That helped me a lot to open up the holes

Could he go AWD by any chance? Or does the chassis not have the tunnel for the driveshaft that goes to the back of the car?
