standard to auto swap

Thinking about going to a automatic, Here's the question.
I have a 95 gst with a 6bolt swap with lots of mods, do i need a 1g trans or a 2g?
I have a aem ecu will i need to swap the wiring harness?

You need a 2G trans, as the front and rear roll stops on the 2G are on the transmission, and they are on the engine block on a 1G, so the 1G transmission case doesnt have provisions for the front and rear roll stops to be bolted on.

Will the wiring harness need to be changed to accommodate the auto? or can i use the same harness for the manual transmission?

You can keep the engine harness and just get the auto stuff from the trans to TCU as far as I know. I will ask my auto guy and get back to you.
