I just installed a different TCU thinking I had an issue with my old one, now when I go for a drive, the car doesn't want to shift passed 3k even if I have a partial WOT pull once I let off, it'll shift fine.

So before all this my transmission would shift weird and since then I installed the valve body with shift kit, different TCU and did a transmission fluid change, previous owner had about 3 qtz. But I didn't drive it much.
Almost like it fuel cuts at 3k like if it have 2 step launch control LOL

I didn't have the issues I explained until after doing all that, I also replaced throttle body as well, which maybe I have a boost leak and that's what is causing it.

Do you have any codes? It might be stuck in first but you would have to disassemble the valve body to check that everything is good. Are you checking fluid level when hot and in neutral?

It shifts perfectly fine, but when I press the gas a bit it'll cut out at 3k I did a plug change and these were my plugs.

I wouldn’t use anything but the known plugs we’ve used for years. NGK- BPR, BR and the iridium’s others sell. I thought you were hitting 3k in 1st and it wasn’t shifting.

Did you check for a boost leaks, especially after changing the TB? Why did you replace the throttle body? Did you do all the proper factory procedures for it after installation? What are you using for engine management?

Changed out the throttle body for one that I had cleaned up, even replaced tps sensor as well. No engine management at the moment.
