Ok so here's my issue. I have just started to notice in the last day or so that right about 2800 to 3300 rpm I can hear very clear an audible knock from the engine bay. At first I thought it may be lifters sticking, but after opening the hood to listen the sound seems to be coming from lower in the block. Now for the strange part. My logger has always recorded mild knock at part throttle low rpm operation, and is still doing so. The thing that is throwing me off is that while I can clearly hear this knock, but the logger is not recording this knock at all. How can I hear this knock loud and clear, but not log any counts of it? Any thoughts on this one?

I may be confused with what you are saying but the "knock" a knock sensor picks up is detonation or "pinging". The sensor may or may not pick up a knocking noise that your hearing.... don't get me wrong you can hear detonation but normally under a load condition in which your saying the noise you hear is at idle.

Needless to say the knock sensor picks up a noise of detonation commonly refereed to as knock.

Hope this helps!

Yeah I follow you on pre-ignition knock. This is not at necessarily idle, but more any time it gets to about 2800 - 3300 rpm. Park, neutral, load it doesn't matter. Only at about those rpms, some times higher as well. I'll be replacing the sensor next week as I have not yet done that. This noise however is loud enough to hear over road noise when the window is down. Always at around 23% - 36% throttle as well. I've watched the logs to see if there maybe a sudden lean/rich condition when I hear it. This part varies. So there are no other trigger points outside of throttle and rpm.

Not to revive, but this thread can be closed. Problem is solved. Now that life has straightened back out I was able to get to this. Issue was the flex plate was AGAIN broken. Thank you for the input all.
