ARP or Stock Head bolts

I just read in another thread that ARP used allen headed bolts. Is this correct? Do stock headbolts use allen headed bolts?

They are stronger then stock.

definitely use arp. much stronger than stock. and they can be torqued more then once. also there only like 5-10 dollars more than stock headbolts. if you building you block youself make sure you clean out the holes in which the studs go in. there is normally some water and crap in them. make sure there dry or the studs go in but trap water at the bottom causing them to back out under service. just a heads up.

Yea, I inadvertently used ARP apparently... I thought the hex bolts seemed odd...

although in the block, it's probably not as bad as it would be for other holes, but it'd still be a good idea to take a tap the same size as the threads of the arp's and chase the threads to make sure they're clean and nothing to seize up the bolts. i had the arp turbo bolts and forgot to chase the threads (oops!) and half way down it seized. wouldn't go in any further, wouldn't come back out. had to break it off, drill it out, and then chased the threads. lesson learned.
