K kid rather it not work before you go through the troubles LOL.

If you have a bad CAS will that cause the the spark plug wires to not get fire??

Got my car running today. YES!!! I have three problems to figure out. 1 is when its in drive it idle really low. 2. My speed odometer doesn't work I think it might be the sensor we had to replace. what do you think? Last is when I test drive it, it made a loud whining noise.( I think it might be the starter that we had to replace staying engaged)? Its not new. Let me know what you guys think on this. Please.

1 : Did you properly adjust your Throttle Body? (Throttle Plate, BISS, TPS)
2 : Go back and check the sensor
3 : Where is the whining coming from? Could you post a video?

Fist check your BISS (base idle set screw) and adjust.
Secondly make sure the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is plugged up or replace. Also check the wires to it. May have a broken wire. I don't know what to make of the whining noise could be a number of things.

Do you have the right starter? Your starter might be going out bro.

LoL i can just turn the key to on, on mine and it tries to start on its own. i can even pull the key out and walk to the front of the car and watch it for about 5 seconds before it stops....

April 28 is coming up fast

well guys it seems thats I got most of my problems fixed(thanks to all of my friends who helped). The only still is my speed odometer doesnt work but who needs LOL.

I'll crack up if you find a turbo timer wired up wrong in it.

Ok, this is ####ing frustrating.

Replaced the CAS. Nothing.
Replaced the MPI nothingn
My CEL goes off after 5 seconds.
And my boost gauge stays at 0

I still do not have power to my coil pack.
Hell unless I have something mixed up idk. Like I said if I switch some wires around once I turn the key to on it cranks by its Damn self. But if I switch it to what I think is the right way. That Damn MPI clicks and I don't get shit.......

Idk. I don't reckon it had it on there. The only thing I can see is that the asshole who sold it to my buddy had a dual gauge pod and took the gauges out. So there is 2 sets of speaker wire running but they aren't hooked up.

I dont know if its different on a 2g but on my 1g There is a cable that runs from the back of your gauge cluster and it runs through the firewall to the transmission.

Mine didnt work because the cable on the inside broke off into the transmission. but i since i found a replacement. ( i would try for one off the classifieds Autoparts stores was like 200+$)
Should be all good

Here is some pictures (NOTE> I DO NOT HAVE AC OR EGR)

First one is where i think the CAS goes(Bottom) . but i really dont know what the top one goes to.

The second one is my coil pack. it is plugged up.

The third one. The yellow and black lines run to my starter, and i have the red and black running to my transmission sensor?

4. i do not know where those plugs in the top left corner go.

5. Tranny plug??

The rest i have no clue where they go...

Thanks for the help! The haynes and chilton manuals arnt worth a shit....

I know there is a Orange extension cord there...... I had to makeshift some tail lights (The previous owners ran a TRAILER HOOKUP!?!?!)

I'll think of some things that might help you out.

As for the throttle cable - I JUST bought one for $20 off the classifieds and eliminated my Cruise cable. I love the free space in the engine bay.

So everything looks right, or is it hard to tell?

My selonoid might be messed up. Or my starter is hooked up wrong? Im going to be replacing the ignition coil. Just to see. But after that. I am out of ideas.

Well got her started. But it wont idle. I still have to put tge exhaust on. My tach won't work.

I found a hidden plug. And replaced my coil pack.she fired up after I fiddled with the throttle cable.

I eliminated the EGR and tried to use that taboo vacuum diagram but I dont have a mbc what do I do with the vacuum lines?

You just.... don't use the MBC or that line.

Make sure you don't have any vacuum leaks, make sure your throttle body is adjusted correctly.

The motor runs like a freaking champ though. Pretty excited...

There is a 97 eagle talon down here in searcy. I took pics if anyone is interested. Its probably a 420a. Its auto. But Damn this thing is sharp ;)
