So has anyone here relocated there battery to the rear of the car?

I'm not worried about being complaint with nhra. I have plenty of 2/0 wire to do the job, just want to get some input if they liked it, things to look out for and things like that.

if you move the battery, you need a box, hold down, all the wire, and then a external shut off switch to make the tech guy a happy camper. All that stuff adds up in weight, and hassle. I would do what kei posted and move the battery to the subframe, Less weight Less hassle. Also since yours is FWD you do not need more weight in the rear(weight transfer in your case is a bad thing). more weight over your drive tires is key.

Hahah. Of course not Link. :)

It'd likely be cheaper to make one, honestly. the only complete kits you'll find are for like, $400 plus - and that's for the cheap ones.

Yeah I noticed.
Wish there was a local source for 2" aluminum pipe. The previous owner done such a BAD job with the piping. It was probably as long as it could have been. It went over the top of the exaust manifold down by the AC accumlator, through the FMIC and then back up through the factory smic location. :notgood:

While going OVER the exhaust manifold is ridiculous, I enjoy utilizing the stock SMIC location because it keeps things out of the way and clean. I originally had my piping run directly from the FMIC straight to the Throttle Body Elbow and I hated it. Mainly because it took up that small amount of space under your intake, against your shifter arms on the trans, and over your lower radiator hose.

This setup was just wrong in so many ways...

I still don't even see how that's even remotely logical to do? People are so stupid I swear. And honestly you could probably buy a used PR kit off the classifieds for as much as PR actually charges for just the piping kit. :thumb:

Well I was just going to run the injector wires under the rail and now its turned into a partial tuck
The harness is pulled apart and rerouting wires. Now I need a new location for the coils. I have found several pics of 1g's but 2g's I am not as lucky.

Anyone have a clever place to tuck the coils away on a 2g?

Either against the driver side strut tower, the firewall, or under the intake manifold. That or just get rid of them all together and go COP for the looks.

I thought about making a COP but I read they have problems with dwell time?

I wouldn't expect it to out preform ghe stock coils but it definitely looks better. If the cop was just as good I would consider it.

It is just as good - better when you upgrade to a better ignition system. I've always ran one because it cuts out replacing spark plug wires and it looks better. Absolutely no negatives experienced.
