and this will be a stock rebuild other than these parts adn arp head studs power wont be shooting for over 350hp probly 300 around there maybe lower 250hp

I'd nix the 50 dollar cheapos that Graveyard has sitting around their shop. the ITMs are good for stock rebuilds, is that all your going for? I'd personally go with a piston that has a slightly higher compression ratio. im not sure how evo 9 pistons would be for 1g's but im a big fan of those. 8.8:1 and nice coating on top. I'd like to hear from some 1g guys on the compression ratios for stock rebuilds..

Also, I'm one of those guys thats had terrible things happen concerning Graveyard. They are definitely on my shit-list... I'd search reviews and peoples opinions on them. Theyre notorious for horrendous service. *IMO*

Wow ok I was wondering about their customer service, and i heard only bad things about them. Anyway I have a 1g i was thinking of going with the 2g pistons on 1g rods, but if im going to go I might as well go big. So now im thinking evo 9 on 1g rods. I want to know if it will just be cheaper to get the pistons and take my old rods to a local machine shop.

Id say that is the best way to go if they dont charge you out the ass for machining your rods to your pistons. Its all about trustworthy, quality machinists. I've heard anywhere from $120 - $190 for machining (most common) but ive also heard of people getting quotes at like 100 bucks a rod, which is just plain rediculous.

If you just want some new stock replacement pistons, parts dinosaur is pretty reasonable: 4G63T Mitsubishi Pistons and Rings Package 1989 - 4/1992 Eclipse, Laser, Talon

Remember if you want to run 2g or EVO pistons, your going to have to have you 6 bolt rods machined to accept them: http://www.vfaq.com/proj-pics/rodspecs2.jpg

1g rods with evo 9 pistons are a good start then adding arp hardware to the rods thats a big failing point and of course arp main studs.

If you're just going a basically stock rebuild, find the NPR pistons for sale on ebay. NPR makes the OEM pistons. You can get STD or .020 overbore sizes on ebay made by NPR (through their ebay store) for $80 brand new with new rings also. I just bought a set about a month back that will be going into my motor.

Not to bash parts dinosaur, but if you read some NPR vs ITM reviews, everyone seems to favor the NPR's (doesn't suprise me since they're stock pistons). I'll PM you a link to the NPR store on ebay if you'd like.

I noticed the Parts Dinosaur piston/rings kit was $159. I can't really speak for the quality, but quite a few people buy from there. I personally like his price on the Gates Timing belts.

He's definitely a great guy with great prices on a lot of parts. I ordered my timing belt tensioner from him.

Rockauto can beat his price on a full gates timing belt though.

I went with Graveyard I just got the Evo 9 Pistons with there rings they look good send on time ... Now I have to send my 6 Bolt rods in... So far so good with them but thats just my 2cnts

After reading that review hell naw ! Ive decided to just spend 800 bucks on rods and pistons instead of the 5 somethin on dsm graveyard. I am willing to pay for good service.
