Are Godspeed exhaust manifolds any good?

I was wondering if anyone has a Godspeed exhaust manifold in their car, if they work pretty well? They seem cheap and don't look too bad. I haven't done any big mods to my car, just a 3 inch exhaust, with an Injen Air Filter, and GReddy side intercoolers. I've really been looking into doing an aftermarket exhaust manifold for a while, but I have to do something about my exhaust temperature sensor, I believe on my stock manifold right now, I have the o2 sensor on my current manifold, and if I get a new one, I'm not sure how to deal with that. Any help or information is really appreciated. Thanks

This is the manifold I was looking into for now, if anyone knows if these are any quality, Thanks!

It's about as good as any other "eBay" exhaust manifold. So it would be useful for a doorstop or giant paperweight.

If you want a quality upgrade, pick up a cast FP race manifold.

The stock one will be perfectly fine for now, buying that is just a waste of money and will probably crack in less than a year. If you really want to upgrade your manifold look into getting a FP mani, best thing for a daily or a racecar. If you for some reason have your mind set on getting a tubular mani for your stock turbo, dnp or jmfab make nice ones. You will pay a pretty penny for a genuine tubular mani.

And your o2 sensor is in your o2 housing...you may have an egt in your manifold.

You get what you paid for. It wouldn't perform any better than a stock 2g mani. The material is more than likely thin which will let the tubes crack easy and the welds are probably cheap too. But I'm sure many have bought that mani and haven't had any problems. But most will tell you to save a buy a "name" brand

So with the FP manifold, would it be better than a tubular manifold? I know that with tubular manifolds they help with spooling the turbo. I'm just not sure if with the FP manifold's being shorter tubes, mean that the air travels faster, and gives it a faster throttle response?

I run a fp and so does john on his 92 tsi its a great piece for just about any set up, flows great good price spend money wisely don't take chances again its your money, I got mine on the sale for 195 shipped last thanksgiving they go on sale around that time. Check out the reviews on the fp site, I see a few in the classifieds.

Everyone likes to talk bad about godspeed. However they forget before anyone else had great products they were just another no name. I have that manifold and have been beating it hard for over a year and hasn't let me down yet. I also run their front mount and have used one of their 16gs both performed great. I stand behind their stuff . Grab it you won't be disappointed.

Hmmm, well I'm really starting to think about the FP manifold, but does anyone know what I should do about the EGT, I know some people drill a hole their selves, but I'm worried about it cracking then. Can you have an EGT on any tubular manifolds?

I'm with iugrad, egt sensors were for back in the day before widebands were cheap and easy. An average joe doesn't need one on a car.

If your patient and have a die grinder you can make a stock 2g mani flow quite a bit. You can take out a whole shiit ton of material and smooth it out too. Added benefit is you can keep stock heatshields and not have to splurge on a custom one.

You get what you pay for and dont forget to include how much time you are also going to spend doing it a 2nd time.

i know im being redundant here but get the FP manifold i love mine its way better than stock and it will not crack. in short you get what you pay for go with a reputable brand it will save you money in the end

Horrible advice on products welded/glued together by Chinese kids. Never speak again.

I don't have personal experience with them but I'll just throw this out here. Given the amount of people on this very forum that have had major issues with tubular manifolds cracking that are 2x-10x as much money as that one, I'd venture to say you would be better off just banking the money you were going to spend on it and continue saving for a better unit. The FP cast manifold is a nice piece for the price tag like others have mentioned.

If I buy a jmf manifold off ebay does that make it ebay?

Dumb question. God speeds primary sales/marketing are done over eBay. They are sold from asia. Jmf. Nope. Unless some individual wanted to sell a used or unused one.

Just stupid question.

On the other hand. Anyone buyone one of these hit me up when you get a crack I'll weld it up nice. But it will crack in a new spot after the fix. Send it to me again LOL
