Just wondering if anyone has seen or owns ony of godspees or fatboygarage stuff. I am tempted to buy one of their intercoolers but dont know anything about the quality of the core or welds. They also sell some evo III 16g turbos which come with an install kit for a 2g and ported.

I've heard of godspeed. When I was at a Slowmotion Dyno day they had a subaru there that put down between 500 - 550 awhp pretty insane, they seems very reputable.

Yeah. I heard before about their subaru stuff. I just wasnt sure how good their DSM stuff was. They make a full kit with pipes for a 2g if you go to their ebay store you can find it. Its like 400 bucks which is pretty cheap.

Godspeed tends to be cheaper in quality and price. They sell turbo kits for like 1500$ I can get you a godspeed intercooler cheap I work at m1autosports actually any brand you want megan is selling good quality intercoolers for cheap (626)442-3356 ask 4 big ryan

yea I saw those on eBay too. at first I thought they looked like a quality intercooler..right? But you can tell, its just like any other intercooler on eBay that looks like a "steal", but is most likely the normal eBay quality. Have you purchased car parts from eBay before? You can find quality name brand parts from eBay, but it will always cost you that much more. Normally, when you find a quality part(s) on eBay, it is from another DSMer or someone just like you or me looking to get back almost what they paid for there (expensive) car part when first purchased it. You can tell the difference between wuality parts and parts purchsed from eBay stores. Unless it is a name brand, I wouldn't recommend buying it from an eBay store. There has never been a more true saying than "you get what you pay for". My friend bought a "RFL BOV" for his WRX from one of those eBay stores, looked like a pretty good product, not awful, not as good and shiny a the pictures, we installed it... You could hear a slight hiss with all the windows open... it was a piece of crap. Be careful with eBay, I think many will agree.

Though, one of my friends started a very good post on here about eBay intercoolers, it got a lot of good response, what they are capable of? how they test out? Definitely check it out if you are thinking about getting an eBay intercooler. Here is the link http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=237530

Well thats a rip off of the apexi one ithink but if your going to go ebay for a intercooler i would go with the tried and true ss auto chrome intercooler kits

good call, basically, after reading the entire thread, you realize that the SS-autochrome intercooler works fine and is more than enough for most cars. Good for more than 300 wheel HP easily... That doesn't go for all of their products though, they have chinese made turbos.

that ssautochrome kit seems to be a favorite ebay FMIC and its cheaper than the kit that you have listed. There is even a write up on how to install the kit in the TECH/DIY threads. I have this kit also just haven't installed it yet. Most the feedback that I read about this FMIC was positive. Thats the one that i would go with if i were you!

I have been searching for an intercooler, read about ebay intercoolers on the forum, but I wanted to know if anyone has one of the godspeed intercooler kits from ebay that go for like $350? It says 3-year warr. and all.. just wanted to see if anyone else had any opinions about it..thanks

godspeed is a pretty good company. they are not just an ebay only. ive seen them in a few magazines. dont know about their kits. but the intercooler itself isn't bad at all

I wouldn't think Godspeed would be much different than any other ebay intercooler. I think they've just charged a higher price since the beginning.

alright, so ive almost saved enough money to do the 4g63 engine swap into the n/a talon, my mechanic told me i should go ahead and get a fmic, so i went looking for a one, and i stumbled across a godspeed front mount intercooler off of ebay, thoughts? plus ima paint it black, its gonna be sweet.

dont paint it. the paint will cause it to not work as well as it should

you can get it anodized black there was a thread about a company doing that awhile back just do a quick search but paint causes it to lose its cooling properties

ture you really would be better off selling yours and buying a turbo model. theres alot of custom work involved

+1 on the above. Don't waste your time swapping a 4G63 into a car that came equipped with a 420A. For the money you spend to get a stockish GST clone you could easily have either fully built the engine that came in the car or have gone out and bought a real GST and modded it. A quick search will tell you exactly why doing the swap isn't worth it.

i know all about the swap, and its gonna cost me 1500 dollars, which aint bad at all, but i have done way too much already to my talon to just buy another one. Yeh the anodized thing is what i am going to try to do. as far as the swap goes, the eclipse i bought the cradle from, and my cradle are exactly the same, so with a little fabrication, it should fall right into place. keep posting. thanks!

What have you done to your talon? Honestly If you can get the swap done for $1500 good for you, but that seems really, really, really low. How are you getting a longblock, transmission, ECU, plus a wiring harness or custom wiring job, manifolds, turbo, downpipe, intercooler, plus the fabrication required for 1500? Also, any engine mods you've already done become moot once you do the swap, so the only things you can keep are either cosmetic mods or suspension mods, both of which are easily transferable to a turbo shell.
