Resolved Are 1g and 2g thermostat housings the same?

I put a 2g head on a 6 bolt and i am using the 1g water pipe. This would make me use a 1g thermostat housing and i wanted to double check that it would fit on a 2 head. I was told it would. I know they are different looking, i just need to know if it will bolt up.

Nope... you'll have to use a 2g water pipe and a 2g T-stat housing. Totally different bolt pattern

Hm. my 2g water pipe doesnt slide into the 1g water pump enough to make it fit.
