Anyway to route a turbo XS RFL back to the intake?

Car I am buying tonight has this BOV on it. I know it isn't the best thing for performance since it vents the pressure.

I figure there is no way to vent it to the intake because the way its shaped. Am I correct?

theres a guy on here that cut the horn off and put a hose on there to run back to the intake. in my opinion, thats :notgood: you could pull that bov off and sell it to some honda owner for 75 bucks or more and buy a 1g bov for like 25-30 and have a car that runs right without cutting apart a bov to " make it work"
rfl is desigined to vent, not recirc.

do you already have the RFL or are you planning on purchaseing? If you haven't bought it yet Turbo XS sells a BOV I think it's called the Type-H34 it is a RFL without the horn and it is made to recirculate back into the intake.

I did it, i went to the hardware store and found a rubber adapter that was like 2 1/4 inches converted down to 1 1/4 inches i think. Then i put the rubber adapter over the blow horn type thing on the BOV and then just connected it to the recirculation hose it worked perfect and sounded good too! Although it did take me a few turns to get it right becuase i was running 25psi it would occasionally blow off.

Well the deal fell through on that car. The body was OK but the kid lied to me. I told him not to try to screw me over and he did. Told me it was ready to go. He said the engine just needed to be installed and it was good. I didn't believe him so I pulled the head off. Guess what I found. 4 nice deep gashes in every piston. Plus one piston was really bad. It didn't even have a head gasket on it. Made me mad. By this time I was mad and not going to buy it. Then he started pulling the "some other guy is coming to look at it if you don't take it BS" so I said "tell him to get over here and get it" and started to leave. He stops me and says 700$. I am still mad at this point and tell him "well see what that other guy says and call me if he doesn't come". I know there is no other guy. Sure enough he calls me 15 min later and says 600$.

This car is definetly worth 600$. Even with bad pistons. However I really didn't want to have to rebuild the block to get it running. Not to mention the genious left the valve cover off and the hood up. Then it got rained on. Cams and cyclinder walls (no plugs in it) have a lot of surface rust.

And he tried to jam the motor in there while the tranny was in. So its wedged in there. Bunch of wire leads were cut at the sensors and stuff. Stupid crap. Damn kid just pissed me off. I told him not to lie to me from the get go. But he didn't listen.

Man...I just realized something. I literally see this kid as a kid LOL. Hes 17 and I'm 21....I feel old.

Needless to say my hunt continues. I think I'll just shell out the money for a decent car that is together and running. If that car would have been together and ran at all I would have bought it. I would rather it blow up and me tear it down. Least I would know everything was there.

That sucks. I just bought a 90 AWD for $200! Good shape too!! The guy lied to me also and told me the transfer case had locked up and thats all that was wrong with it. I changed the case and sure enough it still won't move and the tranny was making some nice noises! The nut had backed off the gear set in the tranny and cracked the case. He drove it with no fluid until it locked up and chewed up all the gears and siezed the center diff! It smokes like a SOB too! No worries though for $200 I still got a deal! It just piss's me off that people have to lie about things. If I would've known it was the tranny it would've saved me some time and it would probably be on the road by now.

im pretty sure the horn is threaded in - ya should be able to unscrew it and screw in a small piece of pipe ( you can contact turbo XS and see if they will sell you the pipe they use for the type -h bov, they are virtualy the same bov with the exseption to the springs and that horn/pipe )
