I dont know if they come with a recirculation fitting but if not you will have to make something for that. have also heard they leak and have seen one leaking inperson on a DSM. Also try searching alittle bit I remember some threads about this bov and others.

Being loud as hell is honestly the only good thing about it. I know, I use to have one. the adapter kit sucks imo, and it leaked like hell. I also wouldn't suggest getting any venting style bov with out going to the GM/MAFT so the sensor doesn't miss that airflow anymore. The RFL has a horn style opening, and as of yet, I have not seen a recirc tube for it. You could have one custom made but: 1) Seems to be more a pain in the ass to have done. And 2) Completely would kill the purpose of getting the RFL imo. I've switched to the Greddy type RS. I love it.

If you are still set on the RFL, then by all means go for it. Keep in mind that once you install it(which is pretty easy) your mas will not read airflow like it was supposed to, and your car will not only be a bit more laggy, but the idle may become rough too.

I agree completely. I have a RFL that i haven't yet installed but i also got a complete blowthrough setup so the air is measured through a GM MAF and translator after the extra air goes through the bov. I just need some guides tuning the damn thing but that's already in my other thread.

Ya, A friend of mine has the Turbo XS RFL and it is really loud, I can hear it over my deck turned up to full. But as everyone is saying about needing the GM/MAFT set up, they are RIGHT. Listen to them. The reason that you need that set up is because your GM MAF takes the airflow reading after the BOV, thus the air fuel mixture of the car is OK, but if you vent with a regular 1G or 2G MAF the reading will be distorded between shift and when you let off the gas because the amount of fuel going into the engine exceeds the ECU's limits for correct A/F Ratio. Afterwards on the next "group" of air going into the engine will be REALLY lean because the O2 sensor told the ECU that it added to much fuel, so the ECU will counteracts this action by adding a lot less fuel to the mix. Long and short, It then pulls timing like a BASTARD.

There Thorough enough for ya.:thumb:

Tuning what? the MAFT? If so, what issues are you having with it?

Do yourself a favor and don't get this BOV. I had it for awhile on the stock 2g MAF and the car idled crazy, backfired when shifting, and blew clouds of black smoke due to running rich. My friends always joked with me saying I had a diesel. It is very loud, that is no lie. I now have a 1g BOV running 22psi no problem, for about a 1/4 of the price.

But what u fail to realize snoboardin is that with the maf in the same spot and not using a a maf and translator after the blowoff valve, you are losing metered air and getting too much fuel in the cylinders. If you were to go with a blowthrough setup which places a gm maf and translator AFTER the blowoff valve your car will perfectly and just how it's supposed to. Now if you want to try it with the stock maf then that's your problem but don't bag on certain parts when u didn't even have your engine set up the proper way to vent. Oh yeah, try pulling that recirc hose off of that precious 1G bov and run the car, it will run the same as w/ the rfl.

I did not fail to realize anything, I am fully aware about why I was running rich. He asked about hooking the BOV up to the 2g UICP, and I told him my experience with that exact setup.
