anything I can do to my head to get more low end torque?

Is there anything I can do to my head to get more low end torque? I want to auto-cross my car for the most part, so having some low end power to help get outta tight corners would be a plus. I have a Cyclone intake that I am going to install sooner or later, and was wondering if I should look into cams, cam gears, or getting a valve job, etc for better airflow.
I will be running a 16G once I do start the build.
 
Run a 2g head and IM? That's probly the best thing you can do for <5krpm performance.
Tighter wastegate even?
What class are you planning on running in? For autocross unlimited I would sport a 50 shot to ditch that last apex cone!
 
You can trade off some high end power for low end torque with 264/264 cams.

You can trade off higher boost potential for more off boost power with higher compression ratio.

With a dyno tune you can trade off some more high end power for low end torque with adjustable cam gears.

You can trade off some maximum power for faster spooling with a smaller turbo. (But I stayed with the E3 16G.)

You can trade off some bucks for faster spool with a fabricated O2 housing and a 3 inch turbo back exhaust.

You can trade off a few more bucks for faster spool with new hard intercooler piping.

If you still have a few bucks lying around, an upgraded side mounted intercooler will spool faster than a front mount and have less resistance than the stocker.

My Talon has all of the above plus a 2.3L stroker conversion with a high stall torque converter.

I took that to mean Liquid to Air.
L@A with the shift key held down is like L2A with the shift key up for the 2.
 
Air intake velocity is important to low-mid end torque.
I choose to use the JDM Cyclone intake, for its dual runner design. Keeping the velocity of the air going into the ports is tantamount to low end torque. All those huge surge tank intakes are great for high end torque but do nothing fo the engine at 2500-3500 rpm. Just a thought.
 
If you are doing alot or racing under <5krpm, then you can't beat the Cyclone intake. I set of hks 264/264 would be good for increased lowend power without sacrificing spoolup.
Dyno time would be very helpful in tuning your lowend performance as well.
How much money are you looking to put into the car?
