anyone know where to buy a timing belt tensioner bolt

hi all the subject pretty well says it i put a new timing belt with tensioner pullys seals and water pump and apperantly the bolt that holds the main tensioner pully (the one with the hydrulic tensioner ran to it) broke and:sneaky: got a few valves in the process but what i need is where in the world would i get that bolt ive done pulled the motor back out and got the broken off peice out also any suggestions on a good piston kit for the car valve beat up the number one pretty bad so i figure i:sneaky:td be a good time to put some new ones in it may cam it up a little while im at it but if anyone knows other then dealership id greatly appreicate it ive already called the dealership and they told me that stupid bolt would set me back 138 bucks not that i wont swing it if comes to it its just thats freakin redicoluse for a stupid bolt and ive called around to all the junk yards around and no one has a 420a motor sittin around but thanks again for lookin hopefully someone here can help me find that bolt

Head to a Home Depot, Lowes, or any hardware store that have a bolt bin. Bet NAPA, Carquest, PepBoys and similar might could help you out if you got the original bolt to match.

Funny, that yards don't have any NEON's out there with the same motor under the hood ....

Play nice LOL what he means is that bolt can easily be sorced a ton of different places. Look for local part outs on CL or the classifieds here as well. :thumb:
 
yea with the yards aroumd me if its not american they dont keep it. It may be differant up in the northern part of oklahoma like aroind okc and tulsa but around here they crush pretty well all the imports including most small american cars such as the neon seabring all the others with the 420a ive checked for one just for parts also didnt think of hardware stores havin it but thanks ill run around tomarrow see what i can find anyone got any suggestions on some good pistons

Dodge (Chrysler) Neons have the same motors i forget what years but they are out there
 
someones done their googlein i was jus sayin i knew they came out in the neons and a number of other chrysler cars i wasnt sure what years excatly but i didnt care enough to look it up but the point is i wasnt really looking to pull and buy a used one i would much rather buy a new one for less the $240 for the whole sha-bang with tensioner that i dont need ive already bought a new one but heres a picture of the bolt if someone other then a nit picker of my post please let me know ive read online that this is a commen probelm with the 420a after a timming belt change when you have people like me that decides to save money and leave out the thred locker (which is what happened) but anyways sorry for my rant i jus dont like fact checkers too much if i was giving wrong advice id understand someone chimming in but when i obviously dont care enogh to do a simple search on google i dont see why you should just to prove me wrong thanks for readin guys
