anyone know what this is, found under headlight, sensor? (Hood alarm switch.)

I was removing bumper to change my headlight, found this tucked a little under the headlight and no idea what it is, its basically likea push button and i can follow it back under the drivers side fender. (its like the door button that tells your lights to shut off/on)
Im just afraid its like my Airbag sensor or something haha. I would prefer to hook it back up where its suppose to go

I know you said nm but just to make it clear, that is the hood switch for the factory alarm.
