Anyone Know What This Is?

Hey everyone. I bought this car about 4 months ago and they said that it had a ECU tuning plug and play system in it. It doesn't look like a DSMlink and it doesn't look like a ECU+ from mach v. It has no brand on it or anything. Just a white sticky with a few numbers. If any of you guys have a clue what this is let me know.

The closest thing that I thought MIGHT be it was this but i cant really tell.

Like others have said..perhaps an early version of an ECU+ box?
ECU+'s current box..even has the little rubber feet on the bottom:

You say the serial port has a USB adapeter at the other end? I know I've had problems in the past trying to communicate serial to usb. We got an adapter and a program from radio shack that fixed our problem. May be something to look into. Since you have the cable, you may only need the software/driver for the cable. You will surely have to have the software for that particular product as well.

It's been a long time since I've seen a pic, but I too believe thats one of the origional versions of ecu+. I'd give machV a shout & see if they can verify.

You were right. I emailed him and got this response..thanks all!

It is the version 1 ECU+.

See www.ecuplus.com for details and software downloads. I'm not sure
if the current software will work with the old version or not, but I
think it will. If you have other questions you can ask Tom, the ECU+
engineer. A contact link for him is on that web site, as well as
support forums.

The black case is identical to the one on this "Plasma Booster" ignition box with the exception of 2 LEDs seen towards the left. Also the cable (the end of which can be seen in the second picture) is different. Just thought this was interesting.

Hmm that is intersting..yeah Im glad I figured it out also..now i can get to tuning woot!
