I just got out of the Army. I was 11B with 1st Infantry Division out of Ft. Riley, ks. I did four years and two tours to Iraq. OIF 2008-2009 OND 2010-2011. I got out as a E-5 Sergeant.

My first tour back in 2008 when we were deployed durning the surge that happened in 2007-2009. The entire platoon under the crossing swords in the green zone in baghdad.

What is boot camp like in the navy?

Navy boot camp was easy as crap for me. First couple if days you are just getting shots and doing bunk drills. After that you stay going to classes and learning the basics. There is some pt bit nothing to hard. Really as long as you pay attention and do as your told your fine. It has been since 07 since I have been through. They still making everyone stay on base unless you're an E-9/O-6 and above still?

We always had to either sneak 'em off base or get them a permission slip, was annoying as hell. That and trying to get on any of the bases, I could stroll around bum #### afghanistan and walk onto any base no problems. Kuwait? Hold on there buddy we need to tear into your vehicle and everything, god forbid you leave ## cell phone on or a glove box closed. And they would freak out about our weapons every, damn, time.

Seriously, I hate Kuwait.
