Nice, hope you get what you want. I am about to leave for there and planning on picking up a dsm when I get back.

I'm a Pfc. in the U.S. Army and I was just wondering how many people on this forum are currently in the service. My M.O.S. is 89D (Explosive Ordnance Disposal Specialist or EOD)

I love my military career and enjoying hearing about others that are in in too.:thumb::thumb::thumb::rocks::rocks::rocks:

I uploaded a pic of myself in my fatigues

projekt1.. i plan on joining infantry when my EOD contract is up in about 1 1/2 years. Ive wanted the blue chord since i was 16 years old so i joined EOD so i have demolition experience and i can be a Cpl. or Sgt. by the time i re-enlist as 11B

Wait so you where in EOD but uploaded a picture with a CIB on? Yet you stated you are GOING to reclass to 11b? So whos ate up right now? & a green tee-shirt with a white one under? really.....

Also lets go over a few things...

So you have a CIB, Air Assult, & airborne..

So you went to basic 9 weeks, then EOD school is 8 months of training, then seeing how you have a CIB on in 2010 i'm going to assume you did a 12 or 15 month deployment. Air assult is 3 weeks, then air borne is 2 weeks. So some how you have managed to do all this as a PFC? Spc is 2 years TIS... So please explain to me how you managed to do all of this.. Including getting a CIB as a EOD tech.. Then i see your post from 2012 clearly saying you are still a EOD tech...

Everybody should listen to this song military or not.
It describes the horrible things are troops sometimes Have to do to protect there own lives.
They come into situations that we as non military could not imagine and I respect them greatly for it.

Im sure some will have an opinion of negativity but we should all have and understanding for there Bravery.

^ He's explained this multiply times LOL. That picture is the "future solider" picture with the recruiters blouse. Go back a couple pages and you'll see he catches crap every couple posts.

Not sure i appreciate how that videos depicts us. Yes we join to serve our country but we fight and die for our brothers in arms. We don't beat and piss on prisoners for fun, we do it for our hatred of what these people do and the excuses they use. I hate when some try to blame others, we do the things we do because we do.

Well, Mr. Infantry, I am currently deployed as an element from the 752nd EOD out of Ft. Hood. Yes, when I made this post 2 years ago I was considering relcassing to infantry like my father was for just short of 30 years. And that picture was my "future soldier" photo with my recruiters ACU top who just happened to be a SFC with the 82nd Airborne prior to recruiting. just in case you didnt read on later in the thread. And EOD school is 9 months, 2 in Redstone Arsenal and the rest in Eglin AFB. The rule of advancing rank automatically doesnt exist down there as it doesnt Army wide anymore. So yes I had to wait 3 weeks in my unit before I was promoted to SPC. And lastly, yes, I am still an EOD tech roaming around the middle east filling in where I am needed. My only skill badge is my crab amigo.

Spc is a guaranteed 2 years TIS if you aren't all ####ed up.

But got it, "roaming the middle east"?

Are you a CJSOTF asset or something?

Yes, I am joint ops. Hell I was with 3rd ID 3rd BCT for god knows how long at beuhring. Currently in Arifjan in UAE giving classes to some redlegsand aussies. I literally am "roaming". I don't much care for it either but I have no choice.

I am finally back in Kuwait for the last time haha.. For my reintegration classes.. My 30 day left mark is today.

DEAR: Luda/ all Moderators.
I would love it if the military guys could somehow pay for a military emblem / logo on their avatar, Wisemen have the Sergent stripes, and others have freelancer and Ect...,

im sure their would be plenty of pretenders wanting in on the stolen valor band wagon.
But from my experience the soldiers have adopted the dsm as their most common tuner, so. just a though.
